Telehealth Awareness Week (TAW) is upon us! South Carolina Telehealth Alliance (SCTA) has hosted TAW since 2016 with the goal being to engage people in meaningful conversations surrounding telehealth and brainstorming how we can make it better. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the exponential growth we have seen in the use of telemedicine by providers. We are currently living in a time where telehealth has become the norm and because of this, the general public won’t ever have to put their health on the back burner from a lack of communication. Telehealth has helped providers and healthcare professionals alike continue to care for their patients while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines. 2021 is a monumental year for TAW as this year it was recognized nationally thanks to the efforts of the American Telemedicine Association and SCTA! This year TAW aims to educate governments and communities on the benefits of regularly implementing telehealth as a part of best practices.

Join SCTA’s efforts in sustaining and continuously improving the use of telehealth by attending the scheduled webinars this week. For more information on Telehealth Awareness Week and the webinars please click here!
